My name is Maria. I live in Ukraine and I am 8 years old. My mom and I had to flee our home in February 2022 because of the war. My uncle Maxim and my grandparents came with us for a few days but my grandparents felt too homesick so they went back. Recently we have also returned to my hometown in Zhovti Vody. It is unsure how long we can stay this time as the war is still going on.

I hope the war will end soon and we can live in peace again. I study for school almost every day but when I have some free time I love to draw. It makes me happy. I hope you like the drawings! ✍️🎨

It helps my family and my uncle Maxim also supports the animal shelter in Zhovti Vody with dog and cat food. The shelter provides homeless cats and dogs with shelter, food and medical care. They also help find new families for the stray animals. 🐱🐈🐶🐕 

With the help of previous sales we were able to buy the volunteer center in my city an industrial dishwasher, a washing machine, a freezer, a meat grinder, water boilers, cleaning products, hygiene items, pots & pans, and food. This helped them take care of refugees that fled the war zone. We also bought some protective gear like bandages for injured soldiers that we send directly to the frontlines.
