What is Forgeheart?

Forgeheart is a free tool I built that converts creature stat blocks from D&D 5e, Pathfinder, and other TTRPGs into Daggerheart format. Paste in a stat block, hit convert, and you get a fully usable Daggerheart adversary. All the math is done for you. You can edit everything after, save your work, and share it with other GMs. Check it out at forgeheart.us.


Why I made it

I was in the middle of a long D&D campaign when I decided to switch to Daggerheart. Problem was, I had a ton of creatures already prepped for future sessions. The thought of rebuilding all of them from scratch made me want to skip game night forever. So I built something to do it for me. It started as a hacky script for my own prep, but it kept growing. Eventually I figured other GMs were probably in the same boat, so I cleaned it up and put it online.


How it helps me now

Honestly, I use it all the time. Whenever I need a creature, I just grab a stat block from my old notes or pull one from the internet, paste it into Forgeheart, and I'm good to go. What used to take me 20 minutes now takes 20 seconds. I get to spend my prep time on the stuff that actually matters instead of doing conversion math. Hopefully it saves you some headaches too.
