The intention of this campaign is to raise funds to help with the emigration of an Argentinean couple and their cat to Europe. We find ourselves in a difficult problem to solve, we want to leave the country because of how hard it is to live there and the lack of certainty about the future of the country. The question is that in order to leave, we need to buy plane tickets, make the necessary arrangements so that the cat can travel too, and get a stable job before the 3 months that the European Union allows you to stay without having a residence permit.
We have no European relatives, nor any possibility of citizenship through an ancestor. To complicate things further, our country, which does not allow you to live in peace, does not allow you to leave in peace either. Our saving capacity, that is, the money we have saved after paying the rent and food, does not reach 30 USD, and when it is time to go to the doctor or buy clothes, there is no saving but debt. This means that in order to leave, we would have to save dollars under a mattress for 4 or 5 years, which would not be so bad if our saving capacity remained stable, which it would not either.
After two weeks in which I was working terrified of losing my job, first because of new traffic regulations in the province, and then because the warehouse where I work may close down, I decided to start this campaign with the intention of getting external help.
We live with just enough money to survive, a good month we can buy some clothes or a few dollars, and every day we are left without any energy to do any extra work, because of the overloaded working hours (8 hours cut 6 days a week, adding the time on the way to work gives 10 hours a day used for work).
The situation, furthermore, changes from day to day. In the last two months my working hours have changed 4 times, due to the different regulations that the government has decided to impose. This is why, in order to be able to work and live in peace, we need people who can help us with money or with contacts who can offer us work.
All we want is to work and to be sure that we won't be on the street next month, and we don't have that certainty here.
