ManekiGo began with one simple thought: Every community cat has its own story, and real care often comes from every act of kindness within the community.

Inspired by Pebbles — a former stray who reminded me how much of a cat’s life happens beyond our windows — ManekiGo is a community-powered platform that helps people record sightings, recognise local cats, and look out for one another’s companions. We use AI to support the work behind the scenes, but the heart of this project is human kindness: neighbours sharing what they see, helping lost cats get home, and building a safer, more caring community for cats and the people who love them.
