Hi, I’m Vicky, the face behind North East Kids

What started as sharing family days out and local finds has grown into a real passion for helping people discover the best things to do across the North East and beyond, whether that’s magical family events, hidden gems, theatre trips, staycations, date nights or somewhere lovely to eat.

Behind every guide, event round up and recommendation is hours of researching, planning, travelling, writing, editing and keeping up with what’s happening across the region. I genuinely love creating content that helps families make memories together, supports local businesses and makes life a little easier for parents looking for inspiration.

Most of the large guides shared across the website and social media are created independently without businesses paying to be included, simply because I want North East families to have a go-to place for what’s on and where to go.
