Hi, I’m Melissa — the maker behind Make with Melissa.  I believe making should feel welcoming, creative, and achievable… not overwhelming or intimidating. My teaching style is relaxed, real, and focused on helping you actually finish projects — whether that’s your first rag quilt, a stack of handmade gifts, or something special for your own home. Rag quilts are my heart. I love the texture, the layers, the frayed edges, and the story they tell with every stitch. They connect me to tradition while still letting me create something fresh and modern using today’s pre-cuts and fabrics. When I’m not filming tutorials, I’m dreaming up new projects, testing designs, building resources for my community, and slowly growing what I hope becomes Rooted in Rag Quilts — a place where makers feel supported, inspired, and proud of what they create.
