Hi! Sorry for the silence these past few months... But I have something interesting for you in return! Here's a sneak peek for a new resource pack that will change normal vanilla boats into small ships with animated sails reacting to "wind" that even wobble on water!
My plan is that each wood type will have a different ship model, but before that, I'd like to polish the one you're seeing on the screenshot right now (untextured for now).
After that I'll launch the resource pack in early access for supporters and slowly add new boat models for you, and maybe custom name-based sail textures down the line!
