My Word Will Not Pass

My Word Will Not Pass

Oct 25, 2023

In the book of Matthew, Jesus assures us that while heaven and earth may pass away, His words will remain steadfast. This statement holds great significance as it emphasizes the unwavering trustworthiness of Jesus' words. In a world where everything is subject to change and uncertainty, Jesus reminds us that His word is more dependable and reliable than anything we can perceive.

Throughout the Bible, there are numerous scriptures that highlight the nature of God's word and its impact on our lives. Let's explore a few of these passages:

  • In Numbers 23:19 we are reminded that God is not a man who lies or repents. When God speaks, He fulfills His promises. Unlike humans, who may make empty commitments, God has the power and ability to carry out what He says. His faithfulness to His word is unwavering.

  • Psalm 19:7 describes the perfection of the law of the Lord. God's word is complete, without error, and incapable of deceiving us. It has the power to transform our souls, turning the wicked into the righteous, and bringing life to those who were spiritually dead. The sure word of God imparts wisdom to the simple-minded, guiding them in the ways of righteousness.

  • Proverbs 30:5 declares that every word of God is pure. His word is a shield to those who trust in Him, protecting them from impurity, wickedness, and deception. When we place our trust in the pure word of God, we are safeguarded from false doctrines, deceptive teachings, and misleading voices.

In light of these truths, it is imperative that we depend on the pure and sure word of God. Its reliability, trustworthiness, and power have the ability to protect, cleanse, and transform our lives. As we encounter the ever-changing circumstances of this world, we can find stability and security in God's eternal word.

Action Steps:

  1. Immerse Yourself in God's Word: Make it a daily habit to read and meditate on the Scriptures. Allow the word of God to saturate your mind, heart, and soul. As you do so, you will experience its transformative power firsthand.

  2. Apply God's Word to Your Life: Take the principles and teachings found in the Bible and apply them to your daily life. Allow God's word to guide your decisions, actions, and relationships. As you align your life with His word, you will walk in wisdom and experience His blessings.

  3. Share God's Word with Others: The power of God's word is not meant to be hoarded but shared. Spread the good news of the Gospel and the truth found in the Scriptures. Be a vessel through which others can encounter the life-transforming power of God's word.

In conclusion, let us anchor our lives in the unchanging and dependable word of God. May we find solace, guidance, and assurance in His eternal truth. As we immerse ourselves in His word, apply it to our lives, and share it with others, we will experience the transformative impact of His faithful and trustworthy word.
