Intention. Intuition. Investigation.

Intention. Intuition. Investigation.

(A four-minute read)

I caught a bus this morning, and twenty minutes later I was on Tregantle Beach.  It was beautiful today, bright sunshine, calm seas with short gentle breaking waves onto the long long beaches of Whitsand Bay which is four or five miles along the coast from Plymouth, in a Westward direction. The tide was out, so myself and maybe twenty other people, plus dogs, had free run of about two miles of sandy beach which from cliff face to breaking waves averaged about seventy metres.  Plenty of space for everyone.

One of the cliffs inland was Trethill Cliff, the place where our gentleman, ‘Some Mother’s son’ was found in 1982, as mentioned in previous posts.

I had words with him, nothing strenuous, just the same simple questions for now, “Are you happy if we try and identify you?”, “Are you ready to be identified?”, “Can we be of any help to you?”.

No blinding lights shone from the cliffs above, no voices bellowed from the heavens, but that’s ok, the intention is there, to help, if wanted.

I attach three videos at the end of the post.  You do not have to watch them of course, but they are there if you want to.  Nonprofessional videos, but they will get better when a) I have the right equipment, and b) when I know how to use it properly.

The first video is one which I have sent out to various people, and a couple of newspapers. One newspaper has already printed an online article which includes the video, an article that backs up several others that have already been written about ‘The man from Tregantle’ in past years.

I sent another message to Devon and Cornwall Police.  It seems that for the moment they are the people most likely to have relevant information on the gentleman.  The Coroner’s Office say that they cannot access any of his records-because he doesn’t have a name...but there must be records somewhere, listed under unidentified(?), or simple with a date(?).  I know there is a report because someone has already told me some of what was written in it.

I think for the time being I must just remain calm, listen to my intuition, and trust that things are working in the ether as my intentions are made, and as energy grows from that intention.

The only physical thing I feel that is worth doing for the time being is to see if we can get a copy or even the original damaged ID card that was supposed to have been with the gentleman at the time he was found.  If it still exists in some form, I can only imagine that with the advancement of forensics over the past forty years, something valuable might be able to be gleaned from further investigation.

I went to the library as I said I was going to do but the archives section was closed.  I will try again on Monday.  I have spoken to some people in Torpoint Town Council, and they were helpful, and hopefully they will get back to me with extra information.

Apart from that?  I am keeping a gentle focus on the Man from Tregantle.  I believe I am not pressuring him, nor his spirit, nor his energy.  I will await some answers from Devon and Cornwall Police, and if I don’t get any by Wednesday January 15th, Torpoint Neighbourhood Police Team have a drop in at 1pm in Torpoint Library.  It’s in my diary.  I’ll be there.

Looking through www.missingpersons.police.uk website for unidentified bodies in the Cornwall area, there seem to be 8, but those are only the ones recorded. The man from Tregantle is an addition to the eight. There is a similar number in the surrounding area of Plymouth in Devon, and many are linked to having been found in the sea or on the beach.  I am looking into these, not to investigate at the moment, but to research, collate and do my best to create a blogpost around them, (next week hopefully).

Whilst walking on the beach I was reminded, as I always am, of the enormous amounts of plastic waste washed up on our shores.  I spent a lot of my spare time for about twenty years clearing loads of it from beaches, lay byes and roadsides.  I wrote about it, blogged about it, made videos about it and I think I can do this again.  I can walk the beaches, video it, and talk about Unidentified Bodies and Missing Persons at the same time.

I came across two videos today, one was sent from a friend.  There’s a guy in Australia who gets millions of views on his videos.  His speciality?  Unblocking drains!  The other guy gets millions of views too.  His speciality?  He cleans swimming pools.  Both satisfying endeavours that give viewer satisfaction and a big audience.  Perhaps I can do the same with litterpicking and get a big audience to help in our quest to soften and help heal the awful human phenomenon of Missing People and Unidentified Bodies.  Catch you next week, I hope.
