A clearer picture.

A clearer picture.

It's been a difficult week, the first week since investigating both Some Mother's Son and Tommy's stories that I have felt bad. I may aswell be honest! But things changed this morning when a thoughtful person passed on an AI enhanced photo of Tommy. I warned Helen how amazing it was, frightened that it might upset her. But it didn't. She loves it, and it reminded me how much we have done these past months to bring Tommy's story out of hiding.

The last week has been a strain on the mind! Legalities, Police, Forensic Labs etc, and all we are trying to do is find a simple route to test this partial skull we have.

The clarity of Tommy's picture reminded me that we are getting closer to a test, that we are only trying to unlock compassion over laws and regulations and that in reality we have people who can test, it is affordable to test, and it doesn't take an age for results.

So I sent one more e mail to Forensics today, hoping that it will clear up one of our last remaining questions. We know, (for the time being) that the Police will not be doing anything. All we need to know now is if legally we can go through with either a Carbon Dating test in France, or maybe, and more interestingly, a dna test in the UK. Neither are definite, but surely we must be getting closer to an answer now.

I'm stuck on a way forward with Some Mother's Son for the time being. I found another 2p on a road yesterday, and placed it on his headstone, 52 coins there now.

Two photos. Hoping for progress. More news next week. Thank you for your support in reading my blogs, and commenting, and e mailing, and talking.
