I don't know about you, but I often feel like I'm really focused on:

What life am I creating?
What am I doing?
What is the meaning of this?
Is this aligned?

I'm very mindful of who I spend time with, how I'm using my energy, what work I'm doing, and what I'm choosing to be of service to.

I'm always reviewing, making sure that things feel supportive of who I want to be and what I want to be of service to.

And it can feel quite triggering for me when I have moments of questioning whether something is aligned with that.

I'm really learning to hold myself in those moments too.

Because the prayer comes through in the daily.

Amazing things happen if we're open to receive in any and all circumstances.

When the parts of us that are questioning come up

Today I was having a really intense final hour of childcare.

I've been feeling really stretched, witnessing these parts of me that were questioning things and wanting it to be done, so that I could go home.

All these protective parts of me coming up.

And then one of the kids just started singing this song that I've been playing on repeat lately, that feels like such a devotional song.

And I was like, wow.

It was like this magic was just coming through.

These little comforting reminders:

You're on the right path.
It's okay.
It's safe to be here.

And I realised that it's safe to be here in the moments when questions come up too.

It's all part of it.

There was this reassurance from life, this feeling of:

I'm here with you.
You're not alone.
You're supported.
I see you.
I see what you're doing.

And it got me thinking about this.

What are we praying for?

And can we actually see the magic in the daily moments?

Are we open?

Can we be present in our day, or are we in resistance, tension, protection?

Can we live it now?

Can we live it now?

Can we realise that all we ever have is now, and learn to feel safe in our bodies, in our life, and in being on a journey?

Because nothing is guaranteed.

Who knows where we're heading.

And I watched the new Evolution series last night, the first episode, and it really brought this into perspective for me.

When you look at how long life has been on Earth, how long it took for life to evolve to where it is now, and the massive things that the Earth has been through, and different species have been through...

What's going to happen?

We don't know.

Part of me feels like, let's just remember how much of a miracle it is that we're even here.

Let's love the people around us as best we can.

Let's do our best.

Let's love ourselves.

Let's know ourselves.

Let's do our best to be in our highest consciousness.

And let's know that the shadow stuff along the way, the challenges, the confronting thoughts that we have, and the questioning of it all, can be what brings us into deeper devotion.

Deeper capacity.

Deeper feeling.

A deeper experience of this life.

The magic in the daily

I do believe in this view that we are the universe experiencing itself.

We are an expression of life and love.

And for all our faults as a species, can we find the magic in the daily?

Some of the lyrics in the song I've been listening to say:

"Day after day, we'll make the mundane a masterpiece."

And it's like, yeah.

The daily life.

The daily challenges.

How can we soften?

How can we surrender into what life is asking of us?

How can we give things time?

Give ourselves time?

Be okay in the unknown?

And honour our truth?

We don't have to know where the journey is taking us

I think there's something really powerful in learning to feel safe in being on a journey.

Not because we know exactly where we're going.

Not because everything is perfectly aligned all the time.

Not because we never question ourselves.

But because we're learning to stay with ourselves through all of it.

Sometimes the questioning is telling us something important.

Sometimes a protective part is asking for our attention.

Sometimes we need to change something.

Sometimes we need to stay awhile.

Sometimes we need to communicate our needs and boundaries.

Sometimes we need to let go, and trust that we are held by something greater.

The practice is not about making ourselves believe that everything is right.

It's about becoming more available to what is actually here.

Listening.

Feeling.

Receiving.

Discerning.

And allowing ourselves to be on the journey.

What if this moment is part of what we're praying for?

Perhaps the life we're creating isn't only the future life.

Perhaps it's also this one.

This ordinary Tuesday.

This difficult conversation.

This long day.

This moment of questioning.

This song that happens to come through at exactly the right time.

The people around us.

Our bodies.

Our breath.

The Earth beneath our feet.

The parts of us that still need love.

What if we could meet all of it with a little more curiosity?

A little more softness?

A little more trust?

What if we could stop waiting for everything to be resolved before allowing ourselves to feel alive?

I want to keep learning this.

To stay close to what is true.

To let life reveal itself.

To trust my own inner knowing without needing to know the whole path.

To feel safe in my body, in my life, and in being on a journey.

And to remember, in the beautiful words of Alex Warren; day after day, we get to make the mundane a masterpiece.
