Hello, my name is Luis Carlos Aveiro. I have created this page for people who would like to support my open-source projects.

ABOUT ME

I have been living in London since 2015. I have built and inspired multiple high-performing software engineering teams. I’m an advocate for professional development to allow software engineers to reach their full potential.

I have been nominated as one of 45 software engineering leaders in London worth watching in 2020 by Hays Digital Technology.

WHY?

A good team isn’t something that happens on its own. It takes continuous effort and commitment from all members of the group. However, software engineers are sometimes thrown in at the deep end when joining a new organization and expected to teach themselves any parts of the codebase and architecture they don't know.

My open-source projects are tools focused on improving developer workflows. I want to help software engineers deliver excellent software without unnecessary onboarding challenges.

MY OPEN-SOURCE PROJECTS

DEV.env is a lightweight command-line interface that provides developer-friendly commands to automate parts of the setup process that software engineers are expected to perform. This includes local development environments, projects, and rapid prototyping.

Localhost SonarQube offers a lightweight command-line interface for interacting with SonarQube Community Edition and analysing your source code with SonarScanner (CLI) in a Docker environment.

Localhost Databases is a collection of Docker Compose files for relational and NoSQL databases, which aims to offer a simple approach to setting up databases for a local environment.

Docker Reverse Proxy offers a simple approach to having a Caddy Server as a local reverse proxy for your Docker containers.

Playground is a collection of Docker Compose files for tech stack samples, including frameworks, blog platforms, CMS, e-commerce, headless CMS, and "Hello, World!" examples for most common programming languages. The samples offer a simple approach to setting up their respective tech stacks for a local environment.
