I've been writing poems since I was a kid, trying to process a cruel world. As a sensitive person, my poetry has always come from my distress. It's how I make sense of the hurt or internal injustice.

"Flowers in Limbo" was born from an everlasting pain: the grief of feeling like I was never loved and never could be. I've told this story through the lens of the Persephone myth, a journey in four parts: The Descent, The Seed of Hope, Queen of the Underworld, and Rising.

While the poems live in a landscape of melancholy, you'll find sprinkles of hope throughout. I believe they shine all the brighter for being nestled in so much shadow.
