I have been an outreach worker in Toronto for over 10 years. I currently work at Amadeusz: as a case manager supporting individuals with firearms chargers during and post-incarceration. I still do outreach in the community, supporting people who are unhoused/precariously housed, and also organize locally with Shelter Housing Justice Network, Christians for a Free Palestine: Toronto and am on the board of Building Roots.
I try to share some of what i'm seeing in the community on social media to generate awareness. In my puny corner of existence on the socials, I hope to build some community, generate conversation, and ultimately work together towards collective liberation.
The labour is often unseen and a number of people have asked how they can support my work - thank you! Setting this page up is a way for you to honour this work, and the funds you donate to me for a coffee/tea, i'll likely enjoy the treat with someone in the community. :)
