Art Study: Adolphe Millot's Papillons
Adolphe Millot illustrated nature beautifully for a French encyclopedia in the 1800s. Here are two of his illustration pages for Papillons, or, butterflies. I separated six of the butterflies and created coloring pages from them. For art study, I suggest having the student find the butterflies on Adolphe Millot's page. Then, color in the butterfly with colored pencil or crayon, depending on the student's age and dexterity ability.
