New video out!

Decided i wanted to start to approach things a bit more scientifically. Feel is often subjective and so its often very interresting to really study the edge up close. For this last video i examine the results from the Naniwa Chosera 1000 grit stone with the Shapton Pro 1000 grit one.

Naniwa is often credited with haveing stones that gives a very fine result, and i do believe that it comes down to an even particle size in the stones, compared with a somewhat abrasive bonding agent that helps smooth out the result. Theese stones are excellent finishers, but if you waht to use tham as parts of a grit progression, dont be afraid to go one step coarser.

Shapton on the other hand is often credited as being a workhorse. Speed and efficiency being key words. But having speed means removing more metal in a shorter time span. I believe shapton has a few larger grains mixed in to achieve this. Theese stones are great as a stepping stone to finer grits, or if you want to use them as a finishing stone, go one size finer then what you would normally do.

Ill keep looking into this, but for now i hope you enjoy the video :)
