Let Kids Be Kids is a parent support group that was formed following a speech that Penny Marie gave to her son's school Board of Trustees in May 2023.
The video of her speech went viral throughout New Zealand, and even reached viewers overseas. Since June, Penny has been connecting with parents, grandparents and people within the education system who have reached out to her. Each day, more of kiwis are becoming aware of the situation we are currently in, with a political, harmful agenda being implemented, and our children are the target.
The more we look, the more we see that the 'system' is against the rights of parents and families, and the goal is to harm vulnerable children and teens, and create medical/pharmaceutical clients for life, whilst lowering the population's ability to pro-create. It's a tough truth to bare.
Solutions focused
The solution lies in 'we the people'. We know how to be loving, how to protect and nurture our children, it is innate in us. What many of us have forgotten how to do, is how to stand up to bullies. The real bullies. The ones who tell us what to do and how to think, and what they want our children to learn in school.
It's time to take our authority back. Lovingly, with grace and truth, yet firmly. We will not be railroaded out of our children's lives. We will not let the 'state' raise our children. We will not agree with harmful legislation that removes parental rights and gives people who do not know us, know our families and children, the right to confuse, harm and medicate our children.
It's all about connection
It's all about connection, and supporting one another. Let Kids Be Kids was born out of connection with many like-minded parents and grandparents throughout our nation, who support one another, share our experiences with our schools and agencies, and offer support to you.
