I am Jane Doe.

I am Jane Doe.

Oct 10, 2026

If you've been paying attention to the news or social media the past couple of weeks, you know about the horrific gang rape case that is the Cornell 7, and the no less horrific rape case of Kendall Francis at LSU by one of their star athletes, along with the abysmal administrative and law enforcement responses.

Since then, hundreds, if not thousands of women have come forward with their stories of sexual assault (and misogynistic men losing their collective shit over it).

Next week, I will tell mine.

I'm not going to include the instances of catcalls or public harassment, because they're too many to count.

But I will be talking about a taboo subject: marital sexual assault, which was not codified as law in the United States until 1993.

I will, of course, post content warnings in front of all my next posts on this topic, be be aware...this is not a pretty story, and my abuser, to this day, thinks he did nothing wrong.

I will name names, both of my assaulter and those who believed him over me. Because I am done being ashamed.

If this is a triggering subject for you, I beg of you—do not read my next few posts, and take care of YOU. Your mental health is important.

I see you.

I love you.

Be safe.

Until next time (coming in with receipts),

Liz
