I’m Liza, a freelance writer who’s working on manuscripts about alternative Arabic music culture around Amman, Jordan based on my time living there, and on my own Austrian Jewish family history. Now, my goal is to bring stories of underrepresented groups—like the women, Palestinians, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community who shape alternative Arabic music, as well as my own ancestors—to wider audiences.
