Little Switch Yoga Member Report, April 2026

Jun 20, 2026

imageThank you for your patience, waiting for the First Quarter report for Little Switch Yoga!

This report is for you, but it's also about you. Little Switch is a mutualist project, meaning our economic mechanism is self-supporting, and directly responsible to the community. We run very lean, and we run with full transparency. Part of that transparency is creating these reports.

First, as always, thank you so much for your membership. The rest of Grays Harbor benefits from the space we provide (funded by you). As part of this community, you indirectly share the healing and strengthening of our nervous systems, muscles and connective tissues, our sleep habits and stress responses, our community health, and our nervous system regulation and support. Your attendance and Membership, along with the work of the organizers and instructors (Agni, Andrea, Rachel, and Ralph)

So how are we doing? Let's take a look at the first three months of the new year.

2026 QUARTER 1 SUMMATION:

Here's your report for 2026's first quarter — January, February, and March.

Yoga classes completed: 100%
(not a single canceled class!)
Average class size: 5.1
(up +1.7 from last quarter)
Total student class registrations: 300
(up +94 from last quarter)
Total classes held: 59
Student class hours: 307.1

What a huge turnout this last quarter! If you read our last report, you'll remember we closed out 2025 worrying a little about class sizes and reminding ourselves we'd need to reach more people.

Well you sure helped us out there, and average class size jumped from 3.4 to 5.1, a huge increase! Registrations climbed from 206 all the way to 300. We held 59 classes across the quarter and, remarkably, completed every single one of them. No weather days, no cancellations, no empty rooms, despite Agni's medical leave! That's 307.1 hours of teaching poured into this community in just three months.

Moving and Outreach:

As of February we've settled fully into the new Aberdeen space, and the extra room, quiet (especially in the evening), and privacy have already made a difference — there's space now to grow into. We are also paying less rent than in our previous (also fantastic) space, which helps our stability.

Our moving day was a lot, but thanks to so many helpers it went very well.

Programming:

The big news this quarter is the launch of our newest class: VARSITY YOGA, Tuesdays at 5:30 pm with Agni. Varsity Yoga is included with Membership — like all of our regular classes. This class had a hand in our big attendance numbers this quarter, and we are thrilled with how it's landed :) Alongside Varsity, we kept the schedule humming with a Yin class, a breath workshop.

For 2nd quarter we have a Prāṇāyāma Class, a Good Neighbors dinner with Shoalwater Bay Tribal elder, and another community cleanup.

It's been a fabulous first quarter, a strong start to 2026, and it's 100% because you keep showing up. The new space feels more like home every week, and we've got even more planned as the weather warms.

A Note on our Ecology:

Little Switch is very, very, almost ridiculously so, created on an ecological basis.

is the sole vegan "brick and mortar" in Grays Harbor. Our vegan ethos is for multiple reasons: first, it is definitely in keeping with yoga traditions that are thousands of years old. Secondly, Agni and Ralph are committed ethical and ecological vegans. So of course, anything we do will be vegan as well.

But something people may not realize is that our vegan ethic is ecological. Animal agribusiness is one of the leading cause of climate change and the leading cause of biodiversity loss on our planet. We simply must start boycotting and then carefully dismantling the animal agribusiness system and helping people farm plants instead, et cetera. This means of course, that making vegan businesses and projects is really important, to prove the concept.
note
The thing about ecology is, we keep hearing we are doomed and that individual choices don't matter. This is a pessimistic, unbalanced, illogical narrative that unfortuantely supports consumer capitalism (and billionaires).

So Little Switch does not use plastic, carpools for trips, does not use AI, et cetera. We take this stuff seriously!

And we really appreciate all your support this year, helping us make it happen!

imageAnd finally:

Thanks for supporting us this first quarter 2026 through an extended medical leave and as move!

We hope to see you in class soon!

Agni, Andrea, Rachel, and Ralph
