À propos Literacy Hive
Hello! I'm Sian Hardy, founder of Literacy Hive.
Literacy is the foundation of learning, opening doors to knowledge, creativity and opportunity. Across the UK, charities, cultural organisations, publishers and literacy specialists provide a wealth of resources and initiatives to support literacy development. The trouble is, with opportunities spread across hundreds of different websites, it can be difficult for busy educators to access the support available.
Literacy Hive was set up to solve that problem by creating a one-stop site that makes accessing resources from a wide range of providers simple and straightforward.
Trusted by educators across the UK, Literacy Hive provides:
• A growing Resource Library, carefully organised into curriculum-based categories and supported by searchable filters to help educators identify the opportunities most relevant to their pupils, setting and curriculum priorities.
• An online Literacy Year Calendar featuring celebration days, reading challenges, writing competitions and conferences to support curriculum planning.
• A weekly newsletter that keeps educators informed about the latest literacy news, opportunities and events.
Literacy Hive exists to bring the literacy community together. By helping educators discover resources and initiatives from across the sector, and by helping providers connect with the schools they hope to reach, the platform ensures that more children and young people can benefit from the wealth of literacy opportunities available.
Support Literacy Hive
Literacy Hive is a not-for-profit initiative. The platform is free to access, and nobody pays to be featured. If you value the role the platform plays in connecting educators with resources and initiatives from across the literacy community, please consider buying Literacy Hive a coffee.
Your support helps maintain the platform, fund new developments and expand its reach, ensuring that more educators can discover opportunities to enrich literacy learning in their schools.
Help us ensure that every child and young person can achieve their full literacy potential.
