My Love for Julie Andrews and The Sound of Music made me create this artwork. Eversince I was a child i dreamed of going to that mountain in Salzburg. It's a place I thought I would only see in movies. So I decided to paint my way there. This watercolor painting is not very detailed, I know. I am new in painting. In fact now that Iam old, i just discovered I can paint! I don’t use expensive materials. I use simple, affordable materials that fit my budget as a retiree with no regular income.
But I feel so happy with how it turned out.
Because while I was painting it, I felt that I was there in the place. I felt the wind. The green grass, the music. That's the magic painting has given me in this semi-retired life. It lets me travel to places I've only dreamed of. It is not easy for me to travel as I am also a furmom of cats.
