About the Author

Where I live, I am surrounded by beautiful distant hills that appear blue in the springtime when the grass is still green and golden when the heat of summer dries the high desert ground. On rainy days, the spicy aroma of juniper and pine needles fill the air with a sweet perfume. I love the countryside with its rolling hills and mountain peaks, its large rocks, soft meadows and prairies. The beauty of God's creation has always inspired me.

I still live with my parents, sister, and our little dog, Pearl. I love my family and am blessed to still have them in my life. They are the reason I am able to pursue writing and illustrating.

I love books, especially Christian biographies and historic fiction. I am overly fond of treats both savory and sweet, and love to travel!

Ironically, I am allergic to coffee but hold the wonderful memory of its taste and aroma dear to my heart from years gone by when I used to drink it! Now I usually enjoy getting an Italian soda and baking organic goodies instead. ;)

I have so many stories I want to tell, stories that I feel God has given me to write. I want to make a difference in the world by giving people stories that are meaningful.

I love telling stories and drawing pictures, that's why graphic novel creation gives me the best of both worlds: by telling stories through pictures. ;) Your support is allowing me to live my dream, to be a full time creative, who's mission is to further the kingdom of God. Thank you so very much!

About The Great Deep

This graphic novel is about three adventurous narwhal calves who decide to explore a beautiful ice cave positioned in a dangerous part of the ocean which whales call "The Great Deep." It is a territory forbidden to young whales. Throwing caution and their better judgement to the waves, the whales enter the mysterious cave to explore its hidden wonders. When faced with imminent danger, one disaster leads to another and the whales find themselves trapped in the cavern with a formidable foe. Will they find their way out? Or will the beautiful cave become their icy grave? This is an all-ages graphic novel. The moral of the story is to be obedient to parents, to not be afraid of calling on those who love you for help, defending those you love, being brave in the face of danger, and to not be attracted to things that are dark and evil.
