There are seasons in life where it feels like everything is shifting at once. The familiar things change, the path ahead feels uncertain, and the story we thought we were living begins to unfold in a new direction.
For me, this past season has been exactly that.
If you follow my writing through Unwritten Pages with AhHisVirtue, you know that the heart behind this space is the belief that our lives are still being written. No matter where we’ve been or what chapters we’ve already lived, there are always new pages waiting to be filled with courage, faith, and growth.
Recently, I’ve been stepping into one of those new chapters.
For a while, I grew quiet online. Not because life had stopped moving, but because I was doing the quiet work behind the scenes. Learning. Listening. Praying. Asking God what the next season of my life was meant to look like.
During that time, my husband, Truman, and I felt led to reenter the world of real estate investing. Years ago, real estate had already touched parts of our journey, but this time it felt different. This time it wasn’t just about opportunity; it was about intentional legacy.
In November 2025, I began connecting with a community of women who are serious about learning how to dream big and to build wealth through real estate. These women are not just dreaming about what’s possible; they are taking action, supporting one another, and learning the skills and gaining the knowledge needed to create something lasting for their families.
Being around that kind of energy has been powerful.
It reminded me of something I often write about in the Brave stARTist message: Sometimes the most important step we can take is simply being brave enough to start.
Start before everything feels perfect.
Start before you feel completely ready.
Start even when you don’t know exactly how the story will unfold.
Over the past several months, I’ve been showing up to local real estate meetups, learning from experienced investors, building relationships, and stretching myself in ways that have required both courage and humility.
And today, Truman and I closed our first deal of 2025!
It was one small step in a much bigger vision.
But it was also a reminder that progress often comes from the quiet work in the dark that no one sees and consistent action over time.
This journey is not just about buying houses or doing deals. For me, it represents something deeper.
It represents choosing to grow.
It represents that if we find ourselves stuck, there is always hope that there are all sorts of creative paths and opportunities we never imagined for ourselves to start afresh and move forward.
It represents the courage to keep writing our lives with intention, even when the page is still blank.
I’m grateful for the mentors, the community, and the people who have been part of this season of learning and stepping forward. I’m also excited to keep sharing pieces of this journey here within Life Canvas Collective.
If you’ve ever wondered whether it’s too late to start something new, or whether your next chapter could hold more than you’ve experienced so far, I want to encourage you with this:
Your story isn’t finished yet.
There are still unwritten pages waiting for you.
And sometimes the bravest thing we can do is simply pick up the pen and begin again.
