I've debated a long time creating some paid path around the work I create about fencing. Putting my stuff behind a paywall was a definite no, as easy free access to research is a big crusade of mine, and having paid subscriptions to my articles makes me feel like there is pressure to publish. However, I do think it is important to see value in your own work, both in how it contributes to the knowledge of our fencing community, but also in the ways it can support yourself.
So, I have come to BMaC. Easy, small, no pressure, causal, and easily integrate-able into my YouTube channel and fencing articles. I think that it hits a good balance of having the option to donate some bucks without being a barrier of entry, or as a pressure point. So, if you like my work, I'd be grateful if you bought me a coffee!
