Before I start, I'm extremely new to this & I don't know anywhere who charges £10 for a coffee!

£4.00 - £5.00 is a more realistic price!

Asking for donations from people who don't know me is new to me.

I'm not an influencer, so not known by many on social media (see my social media accounts Let's Talk About Criminology Online Education on X, Facebook, Bluesky & LinkedIn).

Due to the high increase in teenagers 14-16 needing educational & emotional support, please help support my work.

No matter how small i.e. £1 will be hugely appreciated.

I did think about "buy me a coffee" a year or so ago (2024/2025), but held off on this idea.

I have been offered a placement from the director of Grief Matters in Southwark, but due to the increase in traumatised teenagers seeking online education & emotional support, I've had to put a hold on this offer.

I took voluntary redundancy from the London Fire Brigade in 2014 & started working within education that same year, supply teaching at different schools in Middlesbrough, Stockton, Redcar & Leyburn.

In 2017 I started teaching various subjects online to children 5 - 15 years of age.

In 2022 I started teaching online supporting traumatised teenagers 14-16 i.e. vulnerable, bullied & disengaged teenagers refusing school & mainstream education.

The teenagers I work with have experienced:

ABH/GBH

Psychological Abuse

Threats of Violence

Sexual Assault

Child Sexual Exploitation

Grooming

Unfortunately the government, all political parties, police forces across the UK, councils, social services, schools, colleges & educational agencies are not interested in funding or supporting traumatised teenagers in the above categories refusing school & mainstream education.

In 2021, 2022, 2023 & 2024 I wrote to these establishments many times asking for funding but was met with silence.

The very few responses I did receive were "take me off your mailing list" and "this isn't something we take an interest in" and "thank you for your email but no".

2026 has been the largest increase in parents contacting me regarding their child & the trauma they've suffered at school.

Parents often get emotional during an online meeting, due to the lack of support from their child's school.

The issues affecting their child also affects the parents when they don't feel supported.

I still find it shocking that many parents are made to feel uncomforable & intimidated by educational staff, when they raise issues of the school failing to safeguard their child.

I've very recently been informed by many parents there's a 8 months to 1 year waiting list for their child to be seen by CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services).

Teenagers in the above category find lessons in criminology & crime extremely interesting, engaging & encourages further learning.

This subject area helps teenagers with their reading, writing, listening, speaking & critical thinking skills.

Criminology & crime has learning elements of core subject areas i.e. English (listening, speaking, reading & writing skills), science (biology, physiology, psychology), geography (laws in different countries), diverse learning (laws in different cultures) sociology (social response to crime), TV / media research (news, music, film).

A teenager will often have a PTSD moment during their online lesson, so involves counselling & psychotherapy - not just teaching.

Any amount, no matter how small i.e. £1 would be greatly appreciated.

Contributions will help towards keeping online education affordable for young teenagers in need.

There are many desperate parents who can't afford online tuition to help their child move forward.

I try & help as many as possible, but this isn't financially sustainable for the long term without any funding.

I've recently completed a diploma level 7 in counselling & psychotherapy.

I'm now studying a diploma level 7 in child psychology & counselling.
