🧭 About the Project

Les Naufragés is a community-driven project dedicated to creating immersive Serious Roleplay experiences on Vintage Story — and we’re proud to be the first team to launch a Francophone Serious RP server on the platform.

Our journey began on July 26, 2024, with a small but passionate team: Odhyn, Tim, Akhiara, and Tisma. Today, the project is led by Tisma and Akhiara, and we remain deeply grateful to Tim and Odhyn, without whom none of this would have been possible.

Our first server launch welcomed nearly more than 30 players on day one — it was a chaotic but unforgettable beginning. Despite some unexpected server configuration issues, we quickly stabilized things and grew a nightly active community of around 20 dedicated players.

⚔️ What’s Next?

We're currently working on our next major step: a dual-faction Serious RP server, featuring both a Francophone and an Anglophone faction. This ambitious project aims to introduce:

• Unique RP mechanics
• Player-driven stories
• Deep factional conflict
• Custom-built systems exclusive to Les Naufragés

This development requires time, planning, and long-term commitment. No launch date is set yet — we prioritize quality, stability, and innovation over speed.

💡 Why We Accept Donations

To ensure the continued growth and quality of the project, we are reopening community support through donations.

Your contributions help us:

• Cover server infrastructure (Dedicated Server, DNS, Mail services, security)
• Develop exclusive content for both the Survival and Roleplay servers
• Collaborate with professionals (developers, designers, artists, modellers)
• Self-host services like the Website, WebMap, and multi-instance servers
• Maintain around-the-clock server access and monitoring

Currently, our infrastructure costs around €100/month, managed exclusively by Tisma via a dedicated machine. This setup ensures complete control, robust uptime, advanced logging, and greater in-game security.

All donations are entirely voluntary and come with no obligation.

A bank account under the name of Tisma has been created solely for the project.

Every donation is deposited into this account and used exclusively for project-related expenses.

❌ No donation provides in-game rewards, advantages, or exclusive content — to ensure full compliance with legal regulations.

We do not offer any service or product in exchange for donations. This protects the project from legal risk and ensures transparency.

In the future, if the project continues to grow, we may consider establishing a non-profit organization to expand funding possibilities. However, this is not currently planned.

Although donations do not offer in-game perks, contributors will receive:

• A custom donor tag on our Discord server
• A recognition tag on the Survival server

These are symbolic gestures of our appreciation, showing your commitment to the vision of Les Naufragés and your support for a unique Vintage Story experience.

• ⚖️ Les Naufragés operates under a non-commercial framework. Donations are considered gifts that support server maintenance and development, and not as purchases.
• 🧾 A dedicated bank account is used solely for the project. All expenses related to Les Naufragés are paid exclusively through this account.
• 🚫 In accordance with French and EU regulations, we will not engage in any form of donation-for-reward system unless a legally registered non-profit organization is established in the future.

By donating, you agree to these terms and confirm your understanding that your contribution is voluntary, non-contractual, and non-refundable.
