An Incredible Dream comes True.
For me a dream come true, but also left me feeling very humble – in reality, and I hope my work is worthy. This classification is worth a bucket load of unsolicited 5-star reviews! YES, for each of the books chosen. What am I talking about?
Several of my books, at this early stage, have been chosen by a specialist Collector’s Bookshop as future collectibles. Yes, even today with P.O.D. Books this is still done. The proof of when you purchased and the date is what, when kept with the book will govern, as to the value in the future. As I said, a dream for any new author, especially this early in a series.
So which books have they chosen?
The first book in the Aisha Y/A Series with the 1st. edition stamp on the cover. A certificate page inside states that with that ISBN only up to a maximum of 1000 copies will be printed and then a new ISBN will be sorted and the interior changed slightly. They also know that for 2 reasons there are a few line errors left in the publication on purpose to add to its later value. As a book collector myself it seemed appropriate at the time…for posterity if you like. A pay-forward for those with the guts to try something new.
Also as I posted on the FB page for the books, I invited any reader to send me via my web-shop email, a list of the pages and lines that were faulty and when I close the sale I will choose some of the correct emails and contact them to receive a special gift. A raffle of sorts.
The other 2 books they have chosen are Caught Between Two Worlds & Alphatondik – The Virus.
If you simply search on the internet using the words – chronicles of Dragondom and beyond you will see their link…and an idea of the value they estimate going forward…in the future who knows. Look for the link to Abe Books as you scroll down the page of entries. Yes, I said page. And doing a bit of hunting I found Abe Books hit early on, on another modern collectible whose series has gone on to be a household name around the globe. Also many books with strong heroines and works including fantasy and science fiction, as well as fiction that touch on, sometimes touchy subjects, as do mine if the reader delves below the facade of the story.
