Über Legal Voices for the Future
hosting monthly knowledge sessions for junior lawyers
Legal Voices for the Future (LVF) is a collaborative learning forum established by early career practitioners from different fields of law.
Our objective is to give voice to a new generation of lawyers on the most pressing issues facing us: the climate and ecological crises.
We propose to do so by holding monthly knowledge sessions open to everyone – lawyers and non-lawyers alike. In order to bring fresh perspectives and encourage innovation on pressing global issues such as climate change, each session is led by a different member. Additionally, we are working on delivering events focusing on community-building, including our annual field trip, bi-annual book club, and regular socials.
The forum is an inclusive and safe space allowing for collaboration and collective learning without professing expertise.
We rely on kindly donated funds to support our small operations costs, including subscriptions for our communication and data storage software, as well as maintaining our website.
We’d also like to fundraise for other costs, including:
1. Extraneous costs associated with venue bookings and venue catering;
2. Small thank-you gifts for session leaders, panel speakers and facilitators who so generously dedicate their time to making our events as great as they are;
3. Subsidising the cost of paid events, such as our annual field trip, for LVF members who may not otherwise be able to attend.
Any donation is greatly appreciated!
