I am not a a medical professional, but someone who is passionate about menopause.
As moderator of Reddit's r/menopause, r/perimenopause, and Lemmy's c/menopause, I saw a need to fill the large knowledge gap surrounding the menopause transition. Over the years, my Menopause Wiki has grown from a simple one-page "what is menopause?", into a comprehensive guide addressing most things we had no idea we needed to know. This wiki is intended as an introduction to the menopause transition, to help folks navigate this often difficult and disruptive time, so that they can be empowered to make informed decisions, and demand better care from medical professionals.
The Menopause Wiki is forever a work-in-progress, reviewed and updated by me to insure that the information is as accurate and unbiased as possible. When new scientific research emerges, when international menopause societies update their guidelines, or when medical experts divulge ways in which we can live our best lives, for the rest of our lives, I endeavour to provide that information here.
Although this is a passion project, domain name registration and hosting isn't free. If you find the wiki useful and would like to help cover expenses, please consider buying me a coffee. Any amount is sincerely appreciated, and no amount is expected.
