Transparency

Jun 21, 2026

From a Leanne (me)/massage therapist perspective - part of what I believe is important as a practicing health professional, and what I've always chosen to offer my clients (and potential clients) - is transparency.

I personally - prefer to make informed decisions as a consumer or potential client and I think it's crucial to offer the same to those considering working with me. It fosters understanding, good communication, trust, rapport and the potential to have a successful working relationship as we work towards your health goals.

More importantly - it makes sure we are aligned in our goals, to know if we're a good fit to work together.

I am not going to be the right choice for everyone - I might not actually offer what you're looking for. That's okay! My training, approach and standards of practice are what they are - I have always been open and up front about what I do, do not do, why that is - and hope you are booking me for that very reason.

(If that's not what you are looking for in a massage therapist and I can refer you to someone awesome who does whatever that is, I am happy to do so!)

Some people might not care to know the extra insights, and that's okay - but for those of you who do - part of the education and information I am looking to provide here is some insider information about who I am, how I work, my practice, things to know that help you get the most from massage therapy and what goes on within the massage industry; the intention being to bridge the gap between what people THINK they know about massage, massage therapy and where the industry is currently at - and what it actually is, and/or what is currently going on, and how that potentially affects both therapists and clients alike.

Do you like the idea of transparency when choosing a therapist or business for their services?

I'd love to hear your thoughts!

*Mainly addressing information predominantly in Calgary, in Alberta, in Canada where I have lived, trained and practiced - (but if you are in another country, I'm open to looking into that information for you, to see if I can help shed light on what's happening where you are).
