À propos Lazy Media
Lazy Media is one person running a residential internet connection like it's a data center. No company, no team, no "we" — just one admin and way too many Docker containers keeping 50+ open-source apps alive at lazymedia.media.
It started as a home lab, which is a nice way of saying "hobby that got out of hand." Somewhere along the way it turned into real infrastructure: file storage, photo backups, a Discord alternative, a Mastodon instance, single sign-on, uptime monitoring, and a growing list of self-hosted tools that regular people actually use.
The whole point is open-source alternatives to the big platforms, without the ads, the tracking, or the shareholders. There aren't any shareholders. There's barely a business model. There's one person, some spinning drives, and an electricity bill that's harder to justify than it should be.
When a server hiccups, that's not a support ticket routed to a team — that's Lazy Media, alone, staring at logs at midnight, wondering why the reverse proxy is doing that again. When not doing that, you'll find Lazy Media playing racing games, city builders, and factory sims, because apparently the appeal of organizing systems doesn't stop when the laptop closes.
Coffee money doesn't buy equity in anything, because there's nothing to buy into. It goes straight toward hosting costs and keeping this whole self-hosted operation running for the people who use it. If you've gotten any use out of what Lazy Media hosts, this is the "thanks, keep going" button.
