Lady Gaga - Concert review - NYC - 8/26/25
My oldest daughter and I went to go see Lady Gaga perform at Madison Square Garden in NYC on August 26, 2025 and it was an absolutely life changing experience. being in that arena with Lady Gaga and everyone else was such a healing experience. Have you seen Lady Gaga perform live? She is always so incredible (this was my 2nd time seeing her) but I will say there is something so upleveled about her now. She is singing better than she ever has and the show she put together is the most incredible concert production I have ever seen.
When you go see Lady Gaga at the Mayhem Ball, this is an experience. You are going to the THEATER! This is not just a concert going experience. This is a whole life changing, spiritual, take you to another level of existence, experience. You will walk out a different person than you were when you walked in and it will be the most beautiful thing ever!
I KNOW IT WAS FOR ME!
Background
So, my daughter and I couldn't get tickets through the presale but we were absolutely not going to give up! We work in the music industry, so we figured out what date would work for us that we weren't working another show and I booked a hotel and train for that day! We were going to make it happen. We were manifesting it! With everything booked, besides concert tickets, we kept checking every day for any regular prices tickets that went on sale. I was not about to pay $1,000 more than seat price per ticket! Sorry, but it's just not my journey!
Low and behold, about 3 days before the show, a row of regular priced tickets came available. I am not going to say how much they were because they were still VERY expensive but each ticket was below $1,000 and THEY WERE SUCH GREAT SEATS so I am so happy with them.
SHOW DAY
Took a very early train and arrived in NYC with lots of time to spare so we walked around Hudson Yards and the Highline. Got some delicious food at a diner. Went to early Lady Gaga merch at Madison Square Garden as soon as it opened at 2PM and there was practically no line. Took lots of pictures for my MEMBERSHIP (check it out) and got LOTS of merch! Headed over to our hotel to check in and relax for a bit. Ordered in some Panda Express because it's so good and we needed some protein to get up the strength to dance and sing for a few hours!
The Show
We got to Madison Square Garden right before doors opened and I don't know what manifestation goddesses were on our side on this day, but getting into the venue happened so easy. I don't even understand it but I will not question it. First off, everyone looked so fierce, Like literally, everyone looked so good. It was so nice to be in the midst of all the beautiful, amazing girls, gays and theys. You are all incredible!
So, we got through security easily. Went to line up and was told to come to the front to make a new line. Then we were told to walk down a hallway to start another new line in the front. Basically, we were the first people let into the venue and the Mayhem background in Section 116 was right there when we walked in. So, not only were we first in the venue that night, we were the first to take a pic at that background. IT WAS AMAZING!
Madison Square Garden employees are so incredible. They love to say hi and welcome you into the arena when coming in. I love how special they make the experience. It was so easy to get water and to use the bathroom the whole night too. Never too much of a crazy line and the venue was sold out. I was so pleased with how the entire night went. So easy to find our seats. All the workers were so helpful.
Time For Gaga
Gaga has no opening act. Instead she allows all of us to be her opening act. Before the show starts, as you are walking in, theatrical music is playing. At first, the music is low and slow, creating this calming feeling. As more people come into the venue, the music gets louder and more invigorating. It's actually one of the most incredible things because Lady Gaga thought of literally everything and wanted our whole vibe to be ready for when she comes on stage!
At one point, messages from fans in the building started being displayed on the stage screen. You could scan the QR code on either side of the stage to type in your message. Those messages were absolutely incredible and so many people talked about how Gaga has changed their lives and made them stronger and allowed them to be who they authentically are. Most people in the venue were clapping when these kinds of messages popped up.
It made every single person in the venue become instant family and the vibe inside this room was so high and beautiful.
MAYHEM
Once Lady Gaga came out on stage, everyone in Madison Square Garden was up on their feet, dancing and having the best time. We were singing along. It was like a family in there and that was so beautiful. Gagas stamina to literally go straight into so many songs and dance at the same time is incredible. Just a few years ago, she didn't know if she would be well enough to tour again and to see her doing so well, giving her all every night and looking so happy and healthy while doing it all is amazing.
Lady Gagas Mayhem Ball is a concert not to be missed. Her whole production: Band, lighting, dancers, stage props, EVERYTHING, is so well put together. Everyones timing on stage is impeccable. It truly is magical and they make it look so easy (it's not!)
Our song for that night was EDGE OF GLORY. I have experienced a lot of loss in my life and this song is very special to me so that made me very happy. I might have cried a lot during this show and it was a very emotional experience for me. Being a born and raised New Yorker and Gaga being a born and raised New Yorker, this hometown show was such a moment I will treasure forever.
