Acerca de Laura McConnell

Writing | Creating | Advocacy

Laura McConnell is a survivor of The Truth/2x2 community, a high control group (cult). She has worked for over 25 years supporting and advocating for women, young and LGBTIQA+ people leaving The Truth/2x2 community. She has lived experience of cultic family violence, sexual abuse, coercion, spiritual and religious control.

Laura is host of Truth 2x2 Cult Kids Podcast, found on all the good podcast platforms.

She is a CA, CPA, AAICD and co-founder of social enterprise #GoKindly. She is on the board at two grassroots, feminist, women-centric social services organisations in Australia.

She has named the group in the Royal Commission into Institutional Child Abuse and the Victorian Inquiry into Cults and Fringe Groups.

Laura's writing can be found on Substack and her advocacy on Tiktok and Instagram.
