Operation Eagle Wessex Neolithix

😇🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Now, where shall we go today? I know! All round the British Isles 2000 miles in 12 days and here is stage 1!!

Operation Eagle 🦅 is St LFH rediscovering Britain by rural roads to encourage YOU to define your soil!!

My 2nd pic is the landscape facing away from Watership down with its ancient endless warrens 🐇🐇🐇

Gradually I approach the Ridgeway, England's most ancient thoroughfare dating way pre Roman and here you see the timeless and magnificent Wayland's Smithy, a long barrow beset by beech, Wayland being the Saxon forge god 🔨

Here the coronation of the Queen of Celtica 👑🗡

I needed a beer! Then watermelon 🍉 and white horses nu.erous on the hills of Wiltshire and I spied the giant if Cern Abbas with his pennant raised 🏴‍☠️

I played alto sax on an ancient Dorset hillfort and dropped into a land of good and occasionally thatched pubs, my forever pub haven, roses climbing, bats flitting!! And up early for a paddle at Charmouth 6.30am, having kipped in a maize field!!

Awesome wildness! 🌾🐾

I pass into Dartmoor, a land of real white horses, churches on hill crags, celtic waterways and find a waterfall and a devil's cauldron!

On to Bodmin Moor for the Jamaica Inn I first visited age 5 nicely poured Smugglers Haunt chocolate porter, rich, warming, seductive with a pasty and then a few hamlets and a high hill before awaying to South Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

The Clovelly inn with Dartmoor Jail ale was lovelly 🏵

Good pickings! Hear the sax solos on 12 assorted British hills daily here 🎷👇🏼
