april 2020 & the pandemic

i thought people only cared about this story because of my couple muse. but i was wrong.

this book was born from trying to get over a heartbreak in 2020 that turned my world upside down, just as the real world was crumbling in the middle of a pandemic. it ended up being a 248k massive slow-burn sapphic romance that left my readers crying at 2am.

when i first posted the chapters on wattpad, i never expected it to touch people the way it did when we finally reached the end. but i’m so grateful it did & i’ve never forgotten how special it had become to my small community of readers.

i never expected that. i’m not a professional writer & i never thought people would actually read my work. but learning that this story i wrote to process my own pain helped someone process their pain? that just really stuck with me.

from around 2022, i unpublished it & it was nowhere to be found all this time. i’ve gotten messages over the years from readers asking where they could read it, and some offering to buy a copy. (i republished the unscrubbed version recently & some of them literally have been looking for it for years! they just found me again!)

filing off the serial numbers

this story started as an alternate universe fiction inspired by my favorite couple muse. my forever couple muse for the universes i build. their dynamic serves more as my emotional canvas. having this inspiration & shared foundation with my readers let me dive straight into what i love writing most: the emotional core of the story, the crazy plots & arcs, the worldbuilding, and the complexity of sapphic love & healing & connection. at the end of the day, if you replaced their names with original ones, changed the way they looked, the books hold the same weight.

indie publishing (2026)

this is why in 2026, i’m finally officially publishing it as my debut novel (stripping off the muse & filing off the serial numbers) to let the story come alive with its original cast/characters holding the same angst, weight & sapphic love that left a mark on my readers, big or small.
