The Red Light Script

The Red Light Script

May 03, 2025

Today, we were just trying to get somewhere. A simple drive, a short destination. But the universe had other plans, or so it seemed. Every intersection lit up red just as we approached. Not once, not twice…EVERY.SINGLE.TIME. My husband was driving, and I could feel his frustration building, each stoplight like a slap in the face. He started blaming the traffic, the city planners, even the lights themselves.

But I saw something else.

This wasn’t about traffic. This was a mirror. A perfect metaphor for what it feels like when your subconscious is running the show and it’s not aligned with where you consciously want to go.

Because here’s the truth: your subconscious is the script supervisor of your reality. If deep down, it’s still running the old belief that “progress is hard,” or “I always get delayed,” or “I don’t deserve smooth sailing,” guess what? You’ll hit every red light in your life. Delays. Detours. Roadblocks. Not from the outside. From inside.

Each red light on that drive wasn’t just a traffic signal. It was a signal from within. “Stop. You’re not in alignment.”

And the more he fought it, the more they came. Because resistance is attraction in reverse. The more you push against what is, the more of it you create. The subconscious loves a loop.

But here’s the twist: the moment you shift your state (your inner film reel) the outer world has to follow. You stop reacting and start observing. You pull back into the director’s chair. You say, “Cut. Let’s do that scene again, this time with green lights.”

So next time you find yourself hitting red after red - on the road, in your career, in relationships - don’t curse the delay. Listen. What belief, what internal program is keeping you stuck at the intersection?

Because once you rewrite that script, the path clears. Green lights all the way.
