Why this book: It popped up as a suggestion on Good Reads and I like to spend time looking up at the moon so I thought it would be a good read. It had received a couple of awards, too, which intrigued me. Used my Libby account to download it to my new Kindle.
My notes: I started reading this book after I finished In Cold Blood. I needed something a little bit lighter and a fast read during my travels from The Learning Center at the Creative Compass Retreat. It starts out a little dark and as the story goes on to introduce more fantasy characters I realized it is not what I expected. Then I saw that it is for young adults—I still consider myself a young adult but maybe just at heart. It has a creative story line, intriguing plot, and was unpredictable. I would recommend it but as an easy read when you need to unwind.
