The work is mostly reading. Finding what a text actually says rather than what everyone repeats it says — that the castle in the Dracula story was never real, but the Irish vampire was, and he predates Stoker by twenty years. That takes books, archive access, and hours that are hard to justify against nothing.

A coffee buys an hour of it. Nothing goes behind a wall — every post stays free, because these stories were nearly lost once and shouldn't be hard to reach now. If you've read something here that stayed with you, that's what this is for.
