Hello all!
I can't believe we're weeks away from 2024. I always like to put on a Hallmark movie and start dreaming about what the next year could become.
But before I start setting goals for the future, I have to look back at the past year.
Questions I ask myself:
What brought me joy?
What felt uncomfortable?
What did I struggle with?
What skills could I better develop?
What have I learned?
What do people ask me about?
What do people thank me for?
Why have people hired me?
Then I think about the future:
What steps can I take to be a better version of myself?
What skills do I have that could be transferred into services?
What makes me angry about a subject/industry/situation? And how could I make a change?
What revenue models excite me?
What types of clients do I want in the future?
Where do I want to be a year from now?
So take a second and think about what you want. A few resources I recommend for goal-setting:
How to build your freelance strategic plan
The Calm Business Review (I use this every year!)
Jenni Gritter's Business Planning for Creatives
Tim's guide on how to stick to your resolutions and goals
Let me start with my goals:
Continue to grow Freelance Opportunities!
Create more resources for my members here
Use LinkedIn and Threads more often
Automate where I can
Please leave a comment on this post with your 2024 goals! I'm excited to hear from each of you!
