Kaufe K-Lyrix einen Kaffee

We are developing a free Android app to help with Korean studies using K-pop.

Languages

English and Portuguese for now.

Initial main features of the app

Korean songs

- Regularly adding new songs to the app

- This project is not just limited to K-pop, but we plan to add any songs in Korean in order to the genre not be a limitation

- Displaying song lyrics along with the video (original, romanized, and translation), customizable

Interaction with the lyrics

- Checking each word's translation by tapping them

- Ability to highlight words in a preferred level range (from 1 to 5)

Song vocabulary list
- Words with translation, level, and word class.

- Organized in tabs by level (from 1 to 5)Sound support

Quizzes
Learning song vocabulary through quizzes, automatically adding learned words to your "user vocabulary"

User vocabulary

- Keeping track of the learned vocabulary

- Spaced learning method based on research on memorization

Gamification
- Users have level and experience points (XP)

- In order to get experience points and level up, users should take quizzes and review learned words

- Vocabulary is unlocked to be learned according to the user level, keeping the users learning words according to their levels

Study modules
- Modules to help users learn things unachievable through the songs, like the Korean alphabet and some basic grammars

Instagram

Additionally, we have an Instagram account, where we post daily clips of K-pop MV along with the related vocabulary.

Notes

- If we succeed with this Android app we can start developing the iOS version for iPhone users

- There are many other features we want to add to the project in the future

If you want this app to become true, please consider supporting us. The only way we can keep the development and maintaining the project in the future is by your support.
