Aloha everyone! I'm helping to raise money for Kipaipai Art Foundation to make sure they can keep their amazing nonprofit going.  I've been an art model for over 15 years now, working with Hawaii Museum of Art, the Hawaii Museum of Contemporary Art, and a whole bunch of artists here on the Big Island! Rose Adare likes to call me their muse! I have one of those androgynous profiles that can look either very masculine or very feminine depending on how hard or soft your line work is.

I think, because I wore braces as a kid, I never really learned to smile with my teeth, so most portraits of me come across as whimsical, solemn, or if you do ask me to smile, mischievous. For artists who like a challenge, I have long curly hair with lots of ringlets! I'll pose with my hair down at first, and tie it up as we go along. I'm a fire dancer too, so I'll bring my bo staff to create some dynamic lines of action.  

In my creative life I'm an author and a sketch artist. Often my drawings are character concepts for the worlds I create in my books. When I was a kid I dreamed of being a cartoonist, so I think a part of me still loves the idea of creating a graphic novel.
