Über Klaas
Working on evenings and weekends — trying to make useful, friendly tools.
I am developing software and tools that I hope are useful for others, or which implement things I find cool or technically interesting.
When I develop stuff I try to make things with privacy first in mind — so don't collect or save data that isn't needed. Turns out you don't need much, sometimes none.
I also try to make things so that they run fully local whenever possible.
Time is really cool for this: machines are really powerful, and local AI is running better and better, improving at a really high pace. Gemma 4 runs well even on my MacBook Air.
Curious about science, new tech and the world; always after a balance between tech and real life.
