With her signature small stature, spiteful personality, and a love for Tenjaku blended whiskey, Ace Captain Sasaki Akane leads the iconic VINDAC squadron the 236th "Midnight Devils. An exceptional gifted pilot with the kill tally and victory marks to back it up, Sasaki leads her squadron on regular patrols across the great VSE capital city of Konta.
Stunning the people down below with flashes of their squadrons famed black, red and gold paintjobs in hair raising and intricately prepared airshows, the squadron helps to set the peoples minds at ease. Though for Sasaki she craves the chance to once again let her skills shine for the empire and her comrades to see, and the chance to fly alongside her friend Takara and shield squadron.
However even she can see the logic behind their present deployment to the Bastions C.A.C within the Great Kontan Wound. As she had back when Ishigami shared his belief that the weakest area of the Bastions defenses need to be filled by the best of his soldiers and the darkeness would serve well to conceal his own midnight devils.
