My noir stories are set in Liberty — a Depression-era city known to its locals as Forge.
Most of my work follows Walter Burback, a fortunate son who turned his back on privilege to survive in Forge’s glitter and grime, stealing from the rich who trample the poor.
But Walter’s not the only soul walking those streets. You’ll meet gangsters and desperate men, corrupt politicians, and grizzled cops forced to choose between toeing the bent blue line or answering to their own battered conscience.
When I’m not writing about Forge’s rain-slick back alleys, I share my journey as an independent writer chasing publication — and as a human being trying to make the best of my only way home.
