I'm an independent software engineer with 9+ years in the industry, working with startups, SaaS teams, and agencies that need dependable backend, infrastructure, and AI engineering — without the overhead of another full-time hire.

My work sits at the intersection of backend systems, cloud infrastructure, and applied AI — from RAG assistants and LLM-scored workflows to payment pipelines and compliance-grade Kubernetes platforms. Along the way I've led teams of 4 to 10 engineers, run pre-sales and solution consulting, and owned architecture decisions end to end.

I care about reliability, maintainability, and clear communication: shipping features that hold up in production, and leaving the systems I touch easier to run than I found them. I also maintain a handful of open-source TypeScript libraries and I'm writing Kubernetes Odyssey, a story-driven book on taking a product from Docker Compose to a production Kubernetes platform.

I lead with understanding before building. Most production problems are constrained by an existing system, a budget, or a deadline — so I start with the actual problem, choose the simplest design that meets real requirements, and own the outcome end to end.
