I have two scales: one tiny one for measuring fragrance oils and one larger one for everything else. Yesterday I was mid-melt with 600 grams of wax and my scales decided to go wonky. The more wax I added, the more the numbers would go down. Neither one would tare, and the smaller one went negative. So I have roughly 600 grams of wax hanging out in my melting pot, a new scale on the way, and two candles that may or may not be poured correctly - one is definitely not filled all the way.
Those things aside, I am testing new vessels as my others are sold out until late July. They are slightly smaller and a different shape (jars instead of tumblers), so labels are going to need to be redone as well. But I should have all the wick sizes I need to test them and I definitely have most of the fragrance oils and colorants I need. I say most fragrance oils because I decided to change the Nott the Brave fragrance from an absinthe scent to a whiskey scent. I like to do things the hard way.
