Hi! I'm the creator of Historical Boundaries Map, a free interactive map that shows the world's political borders at any point in history — from prehistoric migrations to the modern day — all in your browser, no sign-up required. It started as a personal passion project and grew into something I hope teachers and students can actually use in the classroom, free of charge, forever.

Keeping it free means no ads, no paywalls, and no monetized data — which also means it runs entirely on time I put in outside of everything else. If the map has been useful, interesting, or saved you a Google Images rabbit hole for a lesson plan, a coffee goes a long way toward keeping the data fresh, expanding coverage to more of the world, and building new features (the video export tool was a recent one!).
