In 2027 I start walking the Silk Road. From my front door in the Netherlands to China, 12,000 km on foot, through Germany, Austria, the Balkans, Turkey, Iran, Central Asia and China. Fifteen countries, no flights.

I'm not waiting until then to start. In September I walked 185 km across the Netherlands in six days, from Nijmegen to Hoogeveen, and filmed every one of them. Every kilometre now is training for day one of that walk.

What you see is what happened. No script, no staging. Hard days, good days, and the people who help a stranger on the road.

Every coffee helps pay for food, gear repairs and a bed after a week in the tent.
