For 40 years, I've been making art primarily outside the gallery system, building an extensive resume and garnering powerful reviews. I'm driven to fight fascism, misogyny, white supremacism and other forms of oppression through my work by telling difficult truths. I've been repeatedly threatened and censored, often by ommission (look around the art world and see how many platforms and venues feature safe/barely edgy work.) I do not compromise my vision and have become the artist I always aspired to be, despite limited financial rewards.
